Professor Timothy Nubi is a distinguished Nigerian expert in Estate Management and Urban Planning, with a career spanning over three decades. He has made significant contributions to real estate finance, property development, urban regeneration, and sustainable development. Professor Nubi’s academic credentials include an HND in Town Planning from Yaba College of Technology, a Bachelor’s in Estate Management and Master in Construction Management from the University of Lagos and a Ph.D. in Construction Management from the University of Lagos.
Professionally, he is a Fellow of Nigeria Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers. He holds a professorship at the University of Lagos, serving as Head of the Department of Estate Management and Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. He also has practical experience as an Assistant and Zonal Planning Officer at Ajaokuta Steel Township and Bendel State, Nigeria. Professor Nubi’;s research focuses on real estate finance, property development, urban regeneration, and sustainable development. He has consulted for organizations like the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme. As the founder and director of the Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development at UNILAG, he promotes housing and real estate development through research and capacity building. His Ideal Habitat Initiative aims to eliminate homelessness in Nigeria. Professor Nubi has received notable awards including the University of Lagos; Distinguished Researcher Award and the NIES’ Merit Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession.
