Prof. Agunbiade is a Town Planner and Geo-Spatial Data Specialist. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Lagos, where he also served as the immediate past Head of Department. He leads the Spatial Data Infrastructure Cluster at the Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development, University of Lagos, and serves as the Director of the UNILAG-LISA (Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis).

Consulting firms, government institutions in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Australia, as well as corporate organisations and development agencies including the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), DFID, the United Nations, the World Bank, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). He has made significant contributions to the fields of Urban Planning and Land Administration through numerous local and international journal articles, newsletters, and book chapters. His academic and professional engagements have taken him across ALL the continents, where he has participated in seminars, conferences, and workshops.
