Mr. SOTUNBO, Adegboyega Sunday
Personal Statement
Adegboyega Sunday Sotunbo is a registered builder, researcher and lecturer at the Department of Building, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is also a team member of Sustainable Construction and Skills Development Research Cluster of the Centre of Excellence for Urbanization and Habitable Cities, an Africa Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) Centre of excellence.
Adegboyega is an early career researcher with passion for sustainable built environment development and indoor environmental comfort (indoor air quality). His recent work is focused on developing framework for indoor air quality management for academic facilities in Nigerian Universities. Through this research, he seeks to profile academic buildings in terms of the indoor air quality and inform the management of the retrofitting needs of these buildings through engagement and advocacy. Over the years, he has acquired industry and academic experience with research cutting across technology in construction, energy efficiency in buildings, sustainability and indoor air quality. His pursuit is to translate research outputs into innovative products and training packages that would address Africa’s need and the world at large, in sustainable built environment development and indoor comfort.
