Godwin Iroroakpo Idoro is a Professor of Project Management in the Department of Building, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos with special research interests in procurement management, resource management, performance management, quality management and health and safety management in construction projects.
He holds the degrees of B. Sc., M. Sc. and PhD in Building with specialisation in construction management and has over 80 international and national publications in research journals and conference proceedings.

Prof. G. I. Idoro has held several positions in the past. He was a former Member of the Senate, University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State and presently a Member of the Senate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. He was at different periods the former Head, Department of Building, University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, Department of Building, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria and Department of Building, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Nigeria. He was the pioneer Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Nigeria.

Prof. G. I. Idoro held several positions in the construction industry and the academia in Nigeria. He was a member of Ghana Universities Commission Accreditation Team to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; Conference Chair: 2014 International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) Conference on Construction in Developing Countries and its Contribution to Sustainable Development; External Examiner to several Universities; Member, UNILAG Property Development Board; Nigerian Universities Commission Accreditation Team to several Universities and a member of TetFund Advisory Committee on Operationalization of Equipment Upgrade in Workshops and Laboratories for Universities, Polytechnics and College of Education (Technical) in Nigeria.

Prof. G. I. Idoro has supervised several students at B. Sc. and M.Sc. levels and has successfully produced more than fifteen (15) PhD graduates. He received NUC Award for supervising the best PhD Thesis in Environmental Studies in Nigeria in 2012.
Prof. G. I. Idoro is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), a registered Builder with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS).
Prof. G.I. Idoro is from Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria and is married and blessed with children.
